What to expect

Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for your pet. Also, take some time to review our staff page and familiarize yourself with the doctors. Below are some suggestions to make your visit more comfortable for you and your pet.

1. Arrive early. If this is your first visit, please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment so that the necessary paperwork can be completed. Depending on the specific diagnostic exams or treatment that your pet requires, your visit may last from 45 minutes to several hours. After discussing your pet’s history with you, the doctor may suggest leaving him or her at the hospital so that you do not have to sit and wait while the tests are being performed.

2. Be prepared. Don’t forget to bring to all pertinent information (see list of Things to Bring above). Also, if your payment is by credit card or check we will need to verify ID, so please bring a valid photo ID with you. If you have any questions regarding payment options please discuss it with one of our front desk staff members when you check in.

3. Ask questions. We are here to help, and if you need further clarification on a diagnosis or treatment plan don’t hesitate to ask the doctor to explain it to you again, or to give you written instructions. The more you know about your pet’s condition, the more you can help to improve it.
